Virginia CEOs offers two kinds of confidential peer groups for CEOs of small and mid-sized companies: the CEO Roundtable and the CEO Forum. Every member is placed into one or the other, and the right fit usually comes down to the size and complexity of the business they lead.
What’s the Difference Between a Roundtable and a Forum?
Generally, CEOs of larger, more complex organizations gravitate toward Forums. Beyond that, here’s how the two formats compare:
- Forums meet every other month for a full day, about 8 hours. Roundtables meet monthly for 4 hours.
- Forums are professionally facilitated. Roundtables are self-led by the members.
- Annual dues for a Roundtable seat run a little more than half of what a Forum membership costs.
In either group, 8 to 10 CEOs meet regularly in a confidential environment to share their challenges and opportunities. They use a structured process to learn from one another’s experiences, and every Roundtable and Forum holds its own annual retreat, a couple of days away to bond and grow.
All members also benefit from programs like the Spring Retreat, the Fall Leaders Conference, Square Tables, and other events throughout the year. They have access to a network of over 275 members and sponsors across the Commonwealth.
